Meet Dr. Kevin Walde

Dr. Kevin C. Walde earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Southeast Missouri State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society while graduating with distinction. He then decided to pursue his Master of Science in Orthodontics and was accepted at St. Louis University where he completed the residency program in 1985. Dr. Walde served as an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Orthodontics at St. Louis University's Center for Advanced Dental Education from 1994 to 2023. In 2018, he was appointed Executive Director of the Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation. He also frequently attends continuing education courses to learn about the latest advances in orthodontic techniques and technology. He has also lectured across the United States, Europe, and South America on various orthodontic subjects.

Dr. Walde is a member of the following organizations: American Association of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater St. Louis Dental Society (Southwest Counties District), and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.  Dr. Walde is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists.

Dr. Walde grew up in Washington, Missouri, and has been married to Deborah (Debbie) Turek Walde for 46 years. They have three children and eleven grandchildren. Dr. Walde and his wife enjoy traveling, going to the movies, walking, and attending their grandchildren’s various sports and school activities.

Dr. Walde is very involved with the community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Franklin County Area United Way for two three-year terms. He has also served as a leader for the Explorer Scouts, a Little League sports coach, and the Show Me Smiles Chapter of the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation. Dr. Walde has traveled to Honduras on several occasions with the Washington Overseas Mission. In 2016, he cofounded OxFest Charities, LLC, a nonprofit organization that funds scholarships, unmet student needs, and organizations that assist those with differing abilities. To date, they have donated more than $250,000 to charitable causes.
